TradePicker separates provider/broker connections into "Historical", "Execution" and "Live" feeds which supports multi broker accounts. For example one broker could be used for live feed while order execution is routed to a different broker.
Alpaca
- Connect to Alpaca to enable zero-commission live or paper trading and real-time market data and news feeds.
- The free tier includes limited live, overnight, historical, and news feeds—ideal for beginners with a light budget.
- The $99/month subscription includes full live/paper equity, crypto, order execution, historical, and news feeds with essentially instant order execution.
- Excellent for day and swing trading.
Schwab
- Link your Charles Schwab account to sync your portfolio, track realized gains, and execute trades.
- Includes live and historical market streaming and order execution at no cost.
- Can experience network delays during heavy trading activity.
- Extended hour trading but no overnight trading.
- Good option for swing trading and longer-term historical equity research, but not recommended for fast interactive day trading.
TastyTrade
- Configure TastyTrade for market routing, equity execution, and portfolio management.
- At no cost, this is a good option for entry-level investors.
- Does not have live, historical, or news feeds; market streaming relies on 15-minute delayed market data from Yahoo.
